The Fund has so far managed to assist Mrs Ndira, Mrs Maengahama among others. The group posted an audio message from Mrs Maengahama who spoke in an emotional tone as it was the first time for her to get donations. Speaking to Dangwe News one of the Fund administrators said the aim was to reach all rural areas. ‘We have been in contact with victims in Mashonaland East with focus on Mutoko and also Muzarabani. To date we have managed to verify about 106 victims and they will be as assisted as and when funds come in with first batch due to receive aid by Wednesday the 23rd of September’.

Each victim receives grocery hamper worth over U$25 made up of Cooking oil, Flour, Washing Soap, Maize Meal, Rice and a few other toiletries. Although it is mainly groceries the Fund intends to help those in rural areas with inputs as the farming season draws closer.
